Calendar date won

Can bring up the calendar and click on event date . The note itself gives me the correct days left until the event, but the event date showing on the note is always Thursday, July 4, 2013 ???
I do like the app, but it needs a fix. As mentioned, Countdown Days support only brings you to the website; no way to get answer to problem.
